United
Ambulance Service Adds 10 Paramedics
United
Ambulance Service has recently had ten employees complete
Maine Paramedic Programs. Matt Lamontange and Stephanie
Rouleau obtained their Associate Degree in Paramedicine
from Southern Maine Community College in South Portland
.
Allison
Burnham, Dianne Irving, Kirk Andert, Eric Michaud,
Jay Morrisette, Nate Robbins, Eric Saunders, and Bill
Young obtained their Certificate in Paramedicine from
Tri-County EMS, located in Lewiston .
These
new Paramedics will be completing a 160 hour orientation
period during which they must work with a Paramedic
Preceptor. After the orientation period the new graduate
must complete a skills test to ensure they can perform
critical procedures independently. Though this orientation
is not required in the State of Maine it is a practice
that United has been mandating for many years.
