United Ambulance Service Implements GPS Technology

United Ambulance Service is proud to announce that global positioning system/vehicle locator technology is currently being installed in our fleet of ambulances.  These new devices allow United Dispatchers to track and communicate with ambulances that transport patients throughout Maine and New England. 

 

Every 15 seconds our vehicles position is automatically updated in our Lewiston based Communications Center.  These constant updates assist our Dispatchers by ensuring that the closest available resources are guaranteed to be dispatched to every emergency that United responds to.
