United
Donates Medical Supplies
United Ambulance Service has donated
a small truckload of medical supplies to Dr. Cynthia
DeSoi of Lewiston . Dr. DeSoi is donating the medical
supplies to “Project Hope”, a missionary group that
she is the Medical Director for.
“Project Hope” has been assisting a community in Haiti
that is working to create a sustainable village for
350 people, most of which are children. The donated
medical supplies will be used to help establish a
medical/dental clinic. The donated supplies include:
procedure gloves, intravenous needles, respiratory,
and bandaging supplies.
Dr. DeSoi will be sending a significant
amount of the donation with a medical team from St.
Mary's Regional Medical Center . The team is scheduled
to travel to Haiti next month to assist with the communities
healthcare needs.
