United Ambulance Employees Receive Meal Donation and Celebrate National EMS Week

Lewiston restaurant Pedro O’Hara’s partnered with Tito’s Handmade Vodka to send meals to United Ambulance employees last Friday night, the 15th of May just ahead of National EMS Week.

Tito’s reached out to Pedro O’Hara’s to partner with them to provide meals to the recipients of their choosing. The program is called the Tito’s Food For Friends Program. Pedro’s chose to select individuals who are working on the front lines during the pandemic, leading them to United Ambulance Service. Tito’s Handmade Vodka of Austin, Texas has funded several research grants, produced hand sanitizer with its distillery, and is working to support those in the service industry.

Pedro O’Hara’s on Main Street surprised the EMS providers at their Russell Street base on Friday night with dinner. Pedro’s is open Monday through Saturday from 11am to 8pm and is serving food through takeout or curb-side pickup. General Manager Tim Blue stated “…we at Pedro’s were excited to hear from Tito’s and be a part of this program. It feels good to be able to support our community’s healthcare workers with our delicious food!”

National EMS Week is a time to recognize EMS providers and honor their dedication to providing life-saving prehospital care to our nation’s communities. National EMS Week 2020 will be celebrated from May 17th-May 23rd.
