ABOUT THE CENTER
United Training Center offers a wide selection of pre-hospital and occupational courses. Our dedicated and highly qualified team of instructors are passionate about delivering the highest quality training to all types of learners. We offer courses both in our state-of-the-art training facility and in other locations across the state.
United Training Center is an authorized NAEMT Training Center, Maine EMS authorized Training Center, Massachusetts Accredited Training Center, and CAAHEP Accredited.

Dennis Russell, M.Ed./ATC/CSCS/NRP/IC/CP

Dennis began his career as a Certified Athletic Trainer in 1999 at the University of Maine and later at Bowdoin College. In 2005, he received his paramedic certification & in 2014 he completed Hennepin Technical College’s Community Paramedic Certificate Program. He soon earned his. Master's in Education from the University of Maine.
Dennis is now the Dean for United’s Accredited Education Department & Community Paramedicine Program Manager for United Ambulance Service. Dennis also works as a Community Paramedic with SmartCare at Cataldo Ambulance Service in Massachusetts. He also continues to work with Dr. Mike Wilcox and WGH Group, LLC.
He is currently collaborating on the development of standardized education curriculums for Community Paramedicine and has been an adjunct professor for Hennepin’s Community Paramedic Program. Dennis currently serves on the Maine Ambulance Association Executive Board, MobileCE Executive Board, ReelDx Editorial Board, Maine EMS Board, Maine EMS Community Paramedicine Committee, and Maine EMS Education Committee. He also currently serves as the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians Education Coordinator for Maine.

Susan Yurek, NRP/IC/CP
Paramedic Program Director
Susan is a graduate of Bates College. She worked in the insurance industry in training prior to starting her career in EMS. Susan has been in EMS for over 16 years. She won the didactic award during the paramedic program she attended.
She joined UAS in 2014 and was appointed Paramedic Program Director in 2015. She was instrumental in completing UTCs accreditation. She is also the lead instructor for the Paramedic Programs & seeks out innovative education methods for adult learners.

Michel Mullin, AEMT/EMD/IC
Michel has been working for United Ambulance Service since 2006.
She is a licensed AEMT and EMD.

Michael Dube, AAS/NRP/IC
Michael started off in the fire service industry at the age of 15 and became a licensed EMT-B at 18 years old.
Currently, he is a career Paramedic Firefighter for the Brunswick Fire Department. He also has been involved in teaching EMS with UTC since 2014 and currently is serving as the Clinical Coordinator overseeing all EMS classes and clinical sites from Massachusetts to Northern Maine.
Michael entered into education because he didn’t like the environment that was offered to past students and wanted to make a change.
